XPROMOS created a comedy contest to help Interplay bring attention to it’s new game Don’t Quit Your Day Job. XPOMOS combined an evolving tactic and proven strategy to create the first ever on-line comedy contest, leveraging a collaboration with Comedy Central and CompuServe– an early online social platform.
While user-generated content like posting videos and voting for your favorites is commonplace today, the breakthrough concept in the 90s created excitement and consumer engagement around a new product launch.
